Scaling Free-Space Optical Assemblies

A wide range of industrial products rely on optical and photonic technologies. Miniaturization is the key enabler in future product developments including telecom, quantum technologies, and sensing and thus lead to a strong demand in system integration and packaging. To scale up free-space optical assemblies requires to move from established technologies using traditional, bulky optical parts to dense, highly automated micro-optical systems.

This event addresses the challenges and solutions of integration & miniaturization, high-volume automation and structural & performance scaling.

The overall aim of the workshop is to define points of common interest for collaborations and discuss how the newly established Swiss Photonics Integration Center (Swiss PIC) can contribute to the scale up of reliable free space optics assemblies.

Join us for an interactive workshop with professionals and deep dive into the world of the scale up of free-space optical assemblies.
