Technology day on simulation for photonics design at EPFL
Join us for an event on the
future of Information Technology empowered through Simulation - Photonics Integrated Circuits, Quantum Computing, and 6G.
Simulation plays a crucial role in the development of photonics and high-frequency electromagnetism for applications such as Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), quantum computing, and 6G. In
photonics, it enables the optimization of PIC designs by reducing losses and increasing the efficiency of optical devices. In
quantum computing, simulation helps model the complex interactions of photonic qubits and improve system coherence.
For 6G, simulating millimeter-wave and terahertz waves allows for predicting antenna behavior and ensuring ultra-fast, reliable wireless communication, which is essential for future networks
The event is free of charge. More details can be found
