As part of the
Swiss Quantum Initiative (SQI), Innosuisse will launch a national call for projects in 2027. Applications can be submitted for collaborative innovation projects between researchers and implementation partners, as well as for projects undertaken by individual quantum start-ups. Applications will open in the first quarter of 2027, see
here
Innovation projects in the following areas of quantum technology are eligible for funding:
- Quantum communication (e.g. quantum key distribution, quantum repeaters, communication between quantum computers)
- Quantum computing (e.g. quantum processors, architectures and platforms, qubit technologies, error correction, algorithms, applications)
- Quantum simulation (e.g. algorithms, quantum simulators, atomic and solid-state systems, and synthetic entangled quantum materials)
- Quantum sensing and quantum metrology (e.g. sensing approaches and platforms, algorithms, entanglement-enhanced sensing, quantum metrology standards, atomic clocks)
Projects in the following areas are also eligible, provided they are essential to the quantum technologies listed above:
- Materials for quantum systems
- Hardware and software for quantum control
- Other quantum-enabling technologies
