Save the date for this exciting event that
bridges the gap between academic excellence, real industrial applications and career opportunities in photonics. This is your chance to explore how
innovative engagement in photonics can shape tomorrow’s technological advancements with clear societal impacts.
The Symposium will give you,
bachelor or M. Sc. PhD student or young researcher, an overview of photonics and the various career opportunities it offers. It will have a particular focus on the following
“green” application areas:
- Energy (production, supply, savings)
- Efficient optical data communication
- Sustainability (material sorting, recycling)
- Environmental monitoring and preservation
- Agriculture and food production
The symposium will also give you the opportunity to meet companies and discuss their job offers and to meet mentors to guide you with your career choices.
Finally, the symposium will have many opportunities to
network, connect and exchange with professionals and other students with similar aspirations.

This event is realized in the framework of the EU-funded project
360 CARLA (no. 101135838). For the European Commission, the objective is to
increase the skills and the number of young people employable by the European (and Swiss) photonics industry which exhibits a strong and continuous growth.
We encourage also the
participation of students who are not already engaged in an education traditionally leading to careers in photonics (physics or engineering). With their usually low representation in those education lines, we clearly encourage the participation of female students.
If you are a professional in photonics, please advertise the event for your relatives and interested students around you!
