Advanced Optical Assembly Capabilities Enabled by the Versatile AXOL–Ciposa Platform

The versatile AXOL + Ciposa platform efficiently supports a wide range of optical assembly operations, including Fiber-to-Fiber alignment, Fiber -to-Fiber , Fiber -to-PIC, MLA-to-MPO (with mirror interface), and MLA-to-PIC configurations. This flexibility enables rapid adaptation to diverse technical requirements while supporting the continuous evolution of photonic architecture.

Sophiane Tournois, Head of Integrated Photonics Solutions Projects at Ciposa
Sophiane leads the development and deployment of the company’s modular photonic assembly platforms. She holds an engineering degree in optics from the Institut d’Optique Graduate School and a Master in Image-Vision-Signal from the Université Jean Monnet Saint Étienne, equipping her with strong theoretical foundations in vision systems and photonic engineering. Prior to joining Ciposa she amassed extensive experience in photonics and opto-electronics R&D and system application roles, bridging high-precision engineering with project leadership in the micro-assembly and photonics markets.


Yves Pelletier, Business Development Director at Ciposa
Yves Pelletier is Business Development Director at Ciposa, where he leverages his expertise in photonics to drive strategic growth and market expansion for the company’s modular photonic assembly systems. He previously built a solid track record in the semiconductor industry, working in key-account development, product management, and business development. Combining a technical background with strong marketing and management skills, he effectively bridges deep-tech engineering with commercial strategy.

Dr. Christian Bosshard, Managing Director Swissphotonics
Dr. Christian Bosshard received his degree in Physics (1986) and his doctorate (1991, Silver medal award) from ETH. From 2001-2021 he was working at CSEM, first as Section Head and then as Vice President and Head Photonics. Since 2013 he is Managing Director of Swissphotonics. Christian is a Fellow of Optica, Board Member of EPIC, and Member of the Board of the University of Basel.
