Cassio-P, making a palm-sized laser with a laser

Cassio-P produces palm-sized high repetition rate high peak power femtosecond laser oscillators, meant for integration in all kinds of commercial systems. These devices are made with a unique and proprietary approach where we effectively use another laser to make a laser. In this presentation, I will share with you some insights on our technology and the performances of our laser sources.

Dr. Antoine Maxime Delgoffe, Co-founder & CTO of Cassio-P
Dr. Antoine Maxime Delgoffe graduated from EPFL in March 2020, with a Ph.D. in Quantum Integrated Photonics. He focused on the integration of single photon emitters inside photonic crystal structures, under the supervision of Pr. Eli Kapon (LPN) & co-supervision of Pr. Nicolas Grandjean (LASPE). He then joined as a post-doc the Galatea Lab from EPFL led by Pr. Yves Bellouard, specialized in advanced manufacturing and light-matter interaction. There, he helped to further the development of a disruptive approach to miniature optical packaging, which he applied to fabricate a tiny femtosecond laser oscillator. Thanks to the support of a Bridge Proof-of-Concept, this project was spun-out, to create the start-up Cassio-P SA, officially registered since January 2024. He is one of the co-founders and occupies now the function of CTO.

Dr. Christian Bosshard, Managing Director Swissphotonics
Dr. Christian Bosshard received his degree in Physics (1986) and his doctorate (1991, Silver medal award) from ETH. From 2001-2021 he was working at CSEM, first as Section Head and then as Vice President and Head Photonics. Since 2013 he is Managing Director of Swissphotonics. Christian is a Fellow of Optica, Board Member of EPIC, and Member of the Board of the University of Basel.
