Workshop: Optical Interconnects

Abstract
Optical communication links have completely displaced electronic communication over long and medium distances. With the miniaturization and robustization of optoelectronic devices it will become favorable to go to optical interconnects at shorter and shorter distances. In this workshop we review the status of this technology and address trends and development programs.
