Photonics21 news

The European Technology Platform Photonics21 represents the photonics community of industry and research organisations. Jointly with the European Commission our members develop and implement a common photonics strategy in a Horizon2020 Public Private Partnership (PPP) to spur growth and jobs in Europe.

The TEMATYS study Photonics - a Key Enabling Technology for Europe (5.73 MB) has now been published.

The study assesses the role and contribution of Photonics in past and present Horizon 2020 projects.
The share of Photonics related projects in Horizon 2020 is e.g. 8,4% and at least 50% of participants of photonics related projects under ICT calls comes from the private sector.
