The European VCSEL Day-2013 in Lausanne:
Friday 31. 5. and Saturday 1. 6. 2013
Abstract
For many years, Europe is keeping a leading positions in research and development as well as in industrial production of Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs). Following a well established tradition of European VCSEL Day that are organized every spring in different European countries, the 2013 European VCSEL Day workshop will be held in Switzerland. The European VCSEL Day-2013 will be hosted by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne on May 31 and June 01, 2013. As in previous years, the workshop will provide an informal forum for discussing the most recent results and achievements in the field of VCSELs. This event should be a very enjoyable time for us to share new and exciting ideas, build, renew, and start new collaborations, and to learn about current and future state-of-the art VCSEL research in Europe.
The sponsors are:
Swissphotonics, CTI, EPFL, BeamExpress SA and ULM Photonics GmbH .
The program committee members will represent all important European VCSEL research and industrial fabrication centers. Taking into consideration previous years, we expect that about 80 VCSEL specialists from all over Europe will attend this event. Selection of papers to be presented at this workshop was done by the workshop Technical Committee: M. Adams, M.-C. Amann, D. Bimberg, I.-S. Chung, N. Grandjean, E. Kapon, A. Larsson, J. Lott, R. Michalzik, A. Rissons and P. Viktorovitch.

Friday am • Session 1: Nitrides, micro waves • Session 2: Industry
Friday pm • Session 3: Telecom/Datacom • Session 4: Simulations
Saturday • Session 5: High contrast gratings
