Workshop: Spectroscopy for inline processing monitoring
Abstract
Optical spectroscopy is the study of the interaction of light with matter. When it comes to the chemical industry, spectrometers have revolutionized the quality control processes, as they enable the online qualitative and quantitative analysis of pure substances and mixtures, purity control, testing for residues, detection of aggressive gasses, pigment analysis, calorimetry measurements in chemical reactions, etc. In the coming years, spectrometers are about to become smaller, cheaper and faster. The purpose of the workshop is to study the unmet needs for Raman, MIR, NIR, UV/VIS and fluorescence spectrometers.
